The UI is too clean, you need to be able access all the menus and buttons quicker. Heres a few ideas.
Side opening expanding menus (Maya style) that would hold a few more buttons, along bottom bar would help keep the ui clean. These would be home for extra sub object buttons, view toggle buttons etc.
.... One click expand, one click collapse.
Object/subobject buttons... vert/edge/poly/object mode buttons that are always visible. Constantly going in to menus is very slow. Maybe hide/unhide them in a collapsible menu?
Add a one click/tap function, to select a an edge, a face or a vert, and tap again to deselect. This would do away with the "+" and "-" selection method....
Always show all selector buttons. If you must keep "+" & "-" selection buttons, make them constantly visible, next to drag select button, on the bottom bar ...
Double click / tap on an edge to select edge loop.
Double click / tap a face to select All faces in face mode
Double click / tap a vert to select all vertices in Vertex mode
Easy world axis swapping - I Can’t find setting for changing world axes from y up to z up.
Wireframe / shaded toggle button should be easy to find and or always on display (top menu bar) later adding a textured button for turning textures on and off.
Custom Toolbar - it would be awesome to be able to drag and drop your own frequently used tool icons on to a bar that you could keep open... like @downwill says.
The camera isn’t good for comfy modelling.
Allow 1 finger rotate, 2 finger pan and zoom. Current viewport navigation is really cumbersome and uncomfortable.
Selecting “drag select” from the bottom bar, instead of a one finger drag, makes more sense....
